On Tuesday 27th<\/sup>\u00a0February the Spanish Chamber held the seminar\u00a0\u201cAre you ready for GDPR?\u201d\u00a0in collaboration with\u00a0Technorizon<\/a> UK, member of the Chamber, and SCA Ontier<\/a>, patron of the Chamber.<\/p>\n

On this occasion Igor Urra, Secretary General of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, received attendees on behalf of our institution and introduced the speakers Ricardo Ena, UK Regional Manager at Technorizon, and Yao Trinh, Associate at SCA Ontier.<\/p>\n

Ricardo began with a brief introduction of Technorizon by explaining the company\u2019s values and\u00a0main services in the field of \u00a0 IT Security.<\/p>\n\n

After this brief introduction he explained what the new GDPR regulation is, who has to comply with it and when it will be enforced. \u00a0He also explained the principals of the new regulation which include Lawfulness, Fairness and Transparency. These refer to the validation and legitimation of the data and the Storage Limitation principle that how data should be stored.<\/p>\n

Ricardo went on to describe the existing approaches to this new regulation and explained the essential controls, policies and actions for IT Risk Management. He concluded by advising attendees on how to prepare for the new GDPR.<\/p>\n

The event then moved on to the Q&A session, in which Yao of SCA Ontier responded to the guest\u2019s legal related questions. Once the session finished, participants had the opportunity to network over breakfast while sharing their thoughts and discussing further the subject matter of \u00a0the talk.<\/p>\n\n
