On this occasion the event took place at our premises in Wigmore Street, just off busy Oxford Street.<\/p>\n<p>The event was chaired by Abel Plasencia, our Foreign Trade Manager and Igor Urra, Secretary General, who kicked off the proceedings of the event by explaining the dynamics of this activity to the participants.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_4892\" style=\"width: 522px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4892\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4892\" src=\"https:\/\/spanishchamberofcommmerceingreatbritain.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/02\/img_20170216_091533.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"img_20170216_091533\" width=\"512\" height=\"384\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-4892\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Our Secretary General Igor Urra chaired the event and explained the rules to the attendees.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>For those of you who are not familiar with the Elevator Pitch format, here are the basic rules to bear in mind:<\/p>\n<p>-Only one participant per company is allowed and there is a maximum of 16 companies taking part in each edition.<\/p>\n<p>-Up to two companies from the same sector can take register for the event.<\/p>\n<p>-Each attendee has two minutes to explain the line of business and scope of the company he represents to the rest of participants.<\/p>\n<p>The reduced number of participants and the format makes this activity a highly interactive one, which aims at providing attendees with the opportunity to explore synergies and avenues of collaboration among them.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_4891\" style=\"width: 292px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4891\" class=\"  wp-image-4891 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/spanishchamberofcommmerceingreatbritain.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/02\/img_0590.jpg?w=225\" alt=\"img_0590\" width=\"282\" height=\"376\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-4891\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Each participant had a customised badge and name card for the occasion.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>After the round of introductions is over, each participant has an additional two-minute slot to reply to questions made by any of the other attendees. Once the question round is finished, participants can further network without the previous time constrictions.<\/p>\n<p>On this occasion, a wide variety of sectors were represented among the 14 companies that were in attendance at this edition:\u00a0After Cross\u00a0(Public Relations),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/spanish.en-desarrollo.net\/users\/FIRMA-FOREIGN-EXCHANGE\">Firma Foreign Exchange<\/a> (Banking and Financial Services), <a href=\"https:\/\/spanish.en-desarrollo.net\/users-127\">Harwood Hutton\u00a0<\/a>(Accounting and Auditing Services),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/spanish.en-desarrollo.net\/users\/LOPEZ-LANDA-INTERIORS-LTD\">Lopez Landa Interiors <\/a>(Interior Design),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/spanish.en-desarrollo.net\/users-26\">Mishcon de Reya\u00a0<\/a>(Legal Services),\u00a0Pullman London St Pancras\u00a0(Hotel and Accommodation),\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/spanish.en-desarrollo.net\/users\/All-Nations-Uk-Ltd-trading-STONEHEALTH-CLINIC\">Stone Health Clinic<\/a>\u00a0(Health Services), Sunfloret (Translation Services), The English Coach (Language Services), <a href=\"https:\/\/spanish.en-desarrollo.net\/users\/UR-MEN-NDEZ\">Uria<\/a> (Legal Services), Valtue\u00f1a (Event Organisers), Yugo Obras\u00a0 y Decoraci\u00f3n (Construction) and <a href=\"https:\/\/spanish.en-desarrollo.net\/users\/WE-FIND-GROUP-SL\">We Find Group<\/a> (Recruitment Agency).<\/p>\n\n<p>As always we would like to thank all the professionals who joined us on the first edition of the Elevator Pitch in 2017.
