Igor Urra, Secretary General of the Spanish Chamber, welcomed attendees on behalf of the institution and introduced the speakers of the session: Pedro Ros, Chairman, and Joe Espa\u00f1a, Executive Consultant at Smarp.<\/p>\n<p>The main topic was how to engage employees to recommend their organization.\u00a0To start off, Joe Espana defined and spoke about the importance of the components of employee engagement, which can be divided into the following categories: Cognitive, emotional, physical and advocacy engagement.\u00a0Joe highlighted the importance of having a team who positively promote their brands or companies, its products and services to a much wider community. He explained\u00a0that to achieve this is important to develop motivation among employees.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1846\" style=\"width: 439px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1846\" class=\"wp-image-1846\" src=\"https:\/\/spanish.en-desarrollo.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/img_2616.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2616\" width=\"429\" height=\"322\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-1846\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Pedro Ros and Joe Espa\u00f1a covered different aspects of employee advocacy.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>During the second part of the session, Pedro Ros focused on advertising and the importance of social networks. He showed attendees several research studies which proved the key role of digital tools in promoting employee engagement. As he explained, employee messages are more trustworthy than company messages. Therefore, having employees sharing relevant content online is a highly valuable strategy for companies.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, he also gave some examples of the impact that recommendations from relatives and people we rely on have on us.
