{"id":33743,"date":"2014-03-26T15:26:18","date_gmt":"2014-03-26T14:26:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/spanish.rberzal.com\/gep-farewell-ceremony-2013-2014\/"},"modified":"2025-11-06T17:50:50","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T16:50:50","slug":"gep-farewell-ceremony-2013-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spanish.rberzal.com\/es\/gep-farewell-ceremony-2013-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"GEP FAREWELL CEREMONY 2013-2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Monday 24<sup>th<\/sup> March the\u00a0XV<strong> Edition of our Graduate European Programme came to an end.<\/strong>\u00a0The aim of the programme, which has run from September 2013 until March 2014,\u00a0is to provide university graduates with a 6-month work placement at a London-based company.<\/p>\n<p>The 14 talented graduates who have taken place in this edition, after having successfully passed the selection process, have been given the opportunity to develop new professional skills at an international level whilst acquiring a broader understanding of how companies operate in one of the world\u2019s most competitive global markets.<\/p>\n<p>The farewell ceremony took place at\u00a0<strong>Regent\u2019s University London<\/strong>, where the participants attended Business English lessons and workshops throughout the length of the programme.\u00a0 This academic side of the programme, conducted by\u00a0<strong>Regent\u2019s Institute of Languages and Culture<\/strong>,\u00a0 enabled participants to improve their language skills and learn about different business-related topics they could later apply to their day-to-day professional lives. Our graduates have\u00a0enjoyed this experience throughout as the English course has also helped them prepare for the <strong>University Of Cambridge BEC Exam<\/strong>, which they took recently.<\/p>\n<div id=\"1776\" style=\"width: 686px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-1776\" class=\"wp-image-1776 size-none\" src=\"https:\/\/spanish.en-desarrollo.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/img_2556.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2556\" width=\"676\" height=\"507\" \/><p id=\"caption-1776\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Steve Phillips and Igor Urra wished participants the best of luck with their future career projects.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The event gathered\u00a0representatives of Regent\u2019s Institute of Languages and Culture, and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, who awarded\u00a0participants a diploma after successful completion of the programme. During the speeches<strong> Steve Phillips<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Director of Regent\u2019s Institute of Languages and Culture<\/strong>, went on to talk about the importance of harnessing language skills to succeed professionally, as well as wishing all the students the best of luck in their future careers.<\/p>\n<p>On behalf of the Spanish Chamber,\u00a0Cristina Carmona<strong>,\u00a0coordinator of the Graduate European Programme<\/strong>, and Igor Urra, the <strong>Secretary General of the Spanish Chamber<\/strong>, attended the ceremony. Igor commented on how this experience has been positively life-changing for many past participants and hoped it would also be for those taking part in this edition.<\/p>\n<div id=\"1775\" style=\"width: 709px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-1775\" class=\"wp-image-1775 size-none\" src=\"https:\/\/spanish.en-desarrollo.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/img_2552.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2552\" width=\"699\" height=\"524\" \/><p id=\"caption-1775\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Some of the participants of the XVI Edition of the GEP at Regent&#8217;s University during the farewell ceremony.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>We would like to thank the hosting companies that have taken part in this edition, providing a unique opportunity for talented graduates to carry out work experience in the ever-competitive London market.
