On Thursday 31st<\/sup> October the Spanish Chamber of Commerce will be\u00a0 holding a Halloween Party in collaboration with our member The Haciendas Club.<\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n

The event will take place at <\/strong>the recently renovated wine room on the top floor of The Haciendas Club venue. This wonderful location on the bank of the River Thames<\/strong> – opposite the Tate Modern and Shakespeare\u2019s Globe<\/strong> – makes The Haciendas Club a great match for this informal event. We are positive our guests will have a terrific time as Halloween has become a very popular celebration, as the ever-growing number of parties thrown across the globe on this day shows.<\/p>\n

However, this\u00a0 celebration has a less jovial origin. In fact, the word \u2018Halloween\u2019 comes from \u2018All Hallows\u2019 Eve\u2019 and it marks the start of the time in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead. Thought to have Christian origins, this feast is observed in many countries, which celebrate this time of the year attending costume parties, carving pumpkins into jack-o\u2019-lanterns and lighting bonfires, among others. Besides, and since the origins of this celebration were linked with the dead,the afterlife and the beyond are recurring themes associated with Halloween.<\/p>\n

Not everything revolves around death, though,\u00a0 when it comes to Halloween. Food is also an essential part of the celebration and typical treats range from candy apples -made by rolling whole apples in sticky sugar syrup, sometimes followed by a coat of nuts-, to bonfire toffee, caramel corn, pumpkin pie and bread, roasted pumpking sees or soul cakes.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately typical Halloween treats will not be served on occasion of this event, but we hope the choice of delicious tapas and wines , all courtesy of The Haciendas Club, will make up for this.<\/strong> We are positive guests will not be disappointed.<\/p>\n

Last but not least, this event is exclusive to\u00a0 member companies<\/strong> and it will provide an excellent opportunity for them to interact with fellow attendees and get to know other members better, all in a relaxed atmosphere. But that’s not all.
