THE CHAMBERS’ EQUITY, DIVERSITY & INCLUSION COMMITMENT
The Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the UK has a strong commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. It is with this in mind that it is included in its Strategic Plan as one of its core objectives.
This commitment originates from a clear conviction regarding the benefits of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. This includes the correlation between workplace diversity and the attraction of talent, the development of creativity and the drive for innovation, all of which bring about better business results. However, this results in much more than an economic benefit. Valuing diversity as an expression of our different characteristics and inclusion as a celebration of what makes us unique, signifies a strategic drive for transformation in a constantly changing world.

OUR COMMITMENT
- RTo lead and promote the social and corporate debate surrounding the benefits of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
- RTo lead by example in matters relating to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, particularly relating to the role of Chambers of Commerce.
- RTo promote Equity, Diversity and Inclusion both internally in all of our policies and processes as well as in the activities that we carry out.
- RTo make the value of diversity known among all of the people, social representatives and Member companies which make up our network.
- RTo promote actions which raise awareness and social change from a business perspective.
- RTo support the development of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, as much internally (incorporating this vision in all of the activities that the Chamber carries out) as externally (supporting our Member companies with matters related to this topic).
- RTo organise and carry out specific activities to support Member companies with matters relating to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, by means of educational sessions and providing tools, guides and resources.
- RTo endorse and to celebrate the value of Diversity, raising awareness of the leaders both from within and outside of our network.

WOMEN’S VOICE REPORT
The Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the UK plays a pivotal role in fostering and strengthening commercial and economic relations between Spain and the UK, through its extensive membership network.
In this context, the contribution of female talent within our network emerges as a strategic cornerstone and plays a crucial role in facilitating and supporting the development and promotion of commerce and investment.
For the first time, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the UK has conducted a survey drawing upon insights gathered directly from women within our network.
This report outlines the survey’s main findings, provides recommendations to address identified challenges women face in the workplace and presents future initiatives to be undertaken by the Chamber.
